First, black leather couches encompass the best of both worlds.  Black is a tech color and looks sharp outlining your room.  Of course, on the other side of the coin you get a cool, comfortable couch.  In front of your couch, you’ve got to go with a colored glass table.  Blue glass tables look fabulous, but so do the smoked glass tables in black and frosted coffee tables.  Rounded or squared edges – you can’t miss.

You also need end tables with open surfaces and skinny lamps.  For colors, you definitely want to look at black, white, clear, variations of glass, and possibly grays.  You’re going to want to incorporate Internet connections throughout the home to give that instantaneous connectivity all over.  Your best bet for looks, quality, and quick use are MacBook Airs.  These are super thin laptops that come in small and larger versions.  For quick browsing, just pick up a small MacBook Air.  For more substantial web browing, go with a 17 inch (we’re not even talking home office – this will be your epicenter and then I’m thinking 30 inches of a Mac desktop).

To complement the computers, we need some high def wall tvs of varying sizes.  You want black casing and to embrace one brand as your pick for power.  I like Haier, Samsung, and Phillips with Panasonic and Sony getting honorable mention.

And what tech home would be complete without a complete sound system throughout the phone.  Focus on bass and sound quality and keeping appearances low key.  Built-in would definitely be a plus if you can swing it.  On this note, it would really help your cause if your rooms flowed with great sound protection.  This isn’t to say you would have doors so much – we want free flow in and out of rooms, but keeping sound within each room should be at a premium on your list.

For modern flooring, soft plush champagne carpet works well.  Mix up your inside landscape some smooth white tile.  If you have a different style, you might want to consider green interior design for your home plan.

A tech home has to be lit up.  Illuminate with high wattage and both emmersed lights and portable lights.

Above all, keep your rooms spacious and simple.  Lines shouldn’t blurr (example: no shags at the end of a rug).  Instead, everything needs to be precise and clean.  I’m telling you – incorporate these features in your home and you’ll wow visitors.
