The fit is trim (runs slightly small so if you don’t want a snug fit, add a size to what you normally wear – for example, if you normally get a XL, you might want a XXL) and it feels light weight but the ANA Faux Leather Bomber Jacket is still very warm. The original price is $100 but this is on sale for $39.99 right now at JC Penny or Pennys. Great price for a really nice women’s faux leather jacket.

At $189.99, the price is higher than some of the discounts and online specials around but that doesn’t take away from the style, comfort, and fit the Izod leather jacket for women brings. Available at Overstock. Comes in both brown and black.

Victoria’s Secret now sells all types of accessories and clothes for women including the ever Chic Leather Quilted Motorcycle Jacket. Tabbed as sleek with a “tough girl appeal” that goes “full throttle”, you’re going for a sharp and sexy look when you buy this jacket. Leather coats for women have an inherit sex appeal to them anyway with their dark and vivacious nature but when you throw in a Victoria Secret attitude, you’re taking your fashion statement to a whole other level. Regular price is $198 but the leather motorcycle jacket is on sale for $169 right now.

If you want a leather coat that runs long or below the waist – which most leather coats for women don’t do – the leather wrap jacket at Spiegel is your answer. I put this one in my top 10 list of the best leather coats for women because it was a little different from the norm. Most of the coats I ran across in the 2010 catalogs stopped at waist length. This style reaches just above mid thigh. Also, instead of a zip front or button up front, the Spiegel’s coat has a tie belt to close up the open front. One more characteristic worth noting was the flared sleeves. Note that this one was for sale in the misses section and so it works best for slim, petite bodies. Regular price is $214 but the leather wrap jacket is currently on sale for $199.
#6 Talbots Grace Fit Leather Jacket
Despite being the second most expensive leather jacket on my list, I’ve included the Talbots Grace Fit Leather Jacket because they tried to design it for everyone. On the Talbots website, it’s described as “fit for everybody” which is definitely admirable considering how fashionable they made it. Comes in sizes 8, 12, 14, and 16. Differentiating details include bracelet sleeves and front flap pockets. Has a double button down look three quarters of the way down. This is available as a black women’s leather jacket only. You can get it for 25% off the regular price as it’s marked down from $399 to $298.99 as of the date I wrote this blog.
#5 DKNY Jeans Jacket, Faux Leather Motorcyle Zip Front
I feel a little guilty about putting another faux leather jacket on a best leather jackets for 2010-2011 list but with DKNY coming out with a brand new jacket (this was just released and is for sale at Macys), I felt like spicing things up with a hot and trendy pick. With a leather patch and silver button on the top left, the new DKNY jeans jacket is not symmetrical which adds something fresh to your look. There are also two welt pockets that are actually on top of the “fake leather jacket” giving you another factor to stand out from the crowd. DKNY wants you to think “tough” and associate “motorcycle” with this zip front jacket. Actually a pretty cheap price for a new release from Macy’s at $98.00. One last mentionable is that this one comes with big zippers for a nice clash of metal and black leather.
#4 GUESS Faux-Leather Bomber Jacket

You know what, I didn’t think this was the best looking leather jacket per se but I did think it was the coolest overall. I think the perfect word to describe it would be casual. You’re not going for a night out on the town but think about looking trendy while shopping at one of those strip malls with Target, Ross, Marshalls, and TJMaxx. You’re out there with a few girlfriends, it’s about 50 degrees outside and you want to look cute but at the same time you don’t want to look like you’re trying to hard. That’s what I see in the Guess Faux Leather Bomber Jacket. With the Guess women’s leather jacket, you get a simple design but there’s a decent amount of movement and a touch of complexity to the jacket. You can’t just take a simple glance and take it all in one second. Another reason I liked this faux bomber so much is because it’s Guess brand. I really believe in the resurgence of Guess as a force in the fashion world. In fact, I just bought some Guess jeans yesterday. The price on this Guess jacket is amazing – it’s been discounted from $145.00 to $50.74. The site say it’s purple but it must be a very dark purple because it looks almost charcoal black. You can find this women’s leather bomber at Lord and Taylor.

The BGSD Women’s Lambskin Jacket was so highly rated that it had to be in the top 3 of my top ten list for 2010. What makes it so lovable? Women everywhere love it’s simplistic, yet stylish look and it’s ultra soft feel. Somehow it also showcases a slim fitting look with a roomy, loose inside so you can maneuver and have a little breathing room. I will warn you that this is not an extreme cold, freezing temperature type of jacket. It doesn’t have insulation on the inside so you will be cold if you wearing this and it’s 30 degrees outside. Again, very soft leather and just has a great cut and feel to it. You won’t find anything like it at your regular women’s retail stores like Bloomingdales, Gap, Forever 21, or Banana Republic but it is available at Sears and Amazon. Sears has it for $149.99 and says it’s 50% off. Amazon has the BGSD Women’s Lambskin Leather Zip Front Jacket on sale for $99.99 to $129.99.

Yes, it’s pricey at $349 but before discounting the Quilted Bomber Jacket because it’s not cheap, consider the longevity, durability, and construction as well as style and fashion. Eddie Bauer has made a beautiful coat here that will not only keep you in the designer loop but also protect you against the frigid cold while keeping you comfortable. When making the quilted bomber, Eddie Bauer used ultrasoft lambskin for top of the line comfort and then added premium 550 fill power down to create a coat that will block cold wind. The jacket is quilted with a diamond pattern and has princess seams to ensure the fashion statement that comes along with such a design will not be lost – even in dreary, blizzard like conditions. I recommend this Eddie Bauer leather jacket for women looking to stay trendy while living in harsh winter climates up north. Big cities like New York and Chicago come to mind.

This is a plain waist length jacket with a jewel neck button up collar that I think will look amazing on any woman. To put this womens leather jacket into one word, I’d say it’s straightforward. Sometimes too many details can distract others and take away from your beautiful face, great hair style, or stylish sweater underneath. The Calvin Klein leather coat for women will not do that. Rather, it will flow seamlessly with your outfit. The style of the women’s motorcycle jacket will run through all your layers but it won’t be screaming, begging everyone to stop and look at your new jacket. Instead, it will draw compliments for being such a nice addition and get rave reviews for terrific presentation. More great news is this is yet another one of the womens leather jackets on sale that made my top 10 list. CK has the retail price at $360 but you can buy it now for $199.99. Great brand, great quality and I’m ranking this as my best buy for 2010 women’s leather coats.
